The First 7 Stars Hotel ? Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab is a luxurious hotel that builds on an artificial island with 280 m (920 ft) on offshore out from Jumeirah beach located on Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has a high at 321 m (1,053 ft) with tennis court and helicopter landing on top of it. It's has 54 stories with total floor area is 111,500 m2 (1,200,000 sq ft). It is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. It was built in the shape of a dhow sail; a dhow is kind of Arabian vessel. From far, it looks like a giant sail on the ocean. The stiffener on the outside structure also has the function as façade of the building that looks like a woven and has Teflon-coated.
Burj Al Arab is the first 7 stars hotel, on 2006 it's the only 7 stars hotel in the world but in September 2007 another 7 star hotel was built which is Apeiron Dubai hotel that become the second 7 stars hotel in the world. Officially highest ratings for the best hotels only up to 5 stars. But, there are several hotels that rank themselves to 6 stars until 7 stars basic on their achievement that maybe has exceeded capability of many 5 star hotels.

Burj Al Arab was designed by architect Tom Wright. The architect and engineering consultant is under the design and consultant company of Atkins, it's the largest multidisciplinary consultant based in Epsom, United Kingdom. The construction of the hotel itself was built by construction contractor Murray & Robert Holdings, Ltd based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Murray & Roberts is a leading of engineering, contracting and construction Services Company.
The hotel features including the 80 m (590 ft) tall atrium rises from the lobby level to the hotel's upper floors, There are 202 double-floor suites on 28 double-storey floors with every suite has own private butler. Other features are Al Muntaha and Al Mahara restaurant. Al Muntaha is a restaurant that offers beautiful panoramic views of Dubai. Al Mahara which is accessed via submarine voyage, its features a large seawater aquarium in the center of the restaurant with the aquarium tank made from acrylic glass.
To pick up the guests, Burj Al Arab provides delivery service with luxurious and comfortable vehicles. Guest can choose to picked up by Rolls Royce, BMW or helicopter straight through from airport to the hotel landing pad.
